Rompox Jointing Mortar

Rompox Jointing Mortar

There are several methods and products on the market to help with the pointing of paving products. We highly recommend the use of ROMPOX jointing mortar. A mix of sharp sand and cement (3:1) is also often used. The joints should be pointed as soon as possible, except where adverse weather conditions are forecasted, which can often be the case in Ireland!

Rompox is a pavement fixing mortar that is ideal for pedestrian traffic, it is highly water-permeable and easy to use. It is ideal for use on the variable Irish weather due to its frost resistant nature, weed free, abrasion resistant that works best with natural stone paving.

Rompox Installation

Rompox is suitable for use in wet and dry weather. We stock a range of colours Sand (cream coloured), Stone Grey (g603/ light grey colour) and Basalt (jet black). Rompox should not be used in extremely warm weather, it will melt and stain the stone if left for long periods.
